50 years ago as a young couple with a toddler, we started a tradition of having a family Christmas vacation as a gift to each other at Split Rock. When Westwood became available, we took advantage of the opportunity to continue with this tradition with a bonus of using it internationally and nationally every year for 40+ years.
Four generations have experienced great family memories.
Split Rock has activities for every age group that are indoor as well as outdoor-so weather does not affect your vacation.
This is a family oriented vacation resort.
Young families with toddlers play in the sand on the beach on Lake Harmony..
Daily activity schedules for every age group
Such as scavenger hunts or turtle races

It is a gated community from both east and west entries.
What I liked was, no matter what age I was at the time or marital status , when I wanted to share it with great friends equally it was a week of fun, laughter, and a week to escape the stress of every day life.
A week to rejuvenate!!!
My family went from learning to ski or snowboard at this resort and eventually did it in Aspen, Colorado, and the Swiss Alps.
There are so many meal opportunities such as full kitchen for breakfast in the villa or various restaurants on site or on Lake Harmony. This makes it budget friendly.
As a mom I liked the availability of getting fresh towels and linen throughout the week.
