Plans continue for the expansion of timeshare options in the Vistana Signature Experiences program, with the introduction of Westin Nanea Ocean Villas in Maui as well as timeshare inventory introduced into the program at Westin Los Cabos, Westin Cancun, Westin Puerto Vallarta and Sheraton Kauai.
The company has gone back to its roots, having originally been known as Vistana with the opening of its first resort, the Vistana Resort in Orlando, FL in 1980. After successfully building the company over a number of years, it was bought by Starwood in 1999 and later become known as Starwood Vacation Ownership.
Vistana vacation ownership includes acess to 24 resorts in addition to the hotel inventory introduced into the program. This includes all of the best-known properties as well such as Harborside Resort at Atlantis and Westin St. John.
