Lanzarote Timeshare

Lanzarote is one of the islands that make up the Canary Islands. While not as well-known as the other islands of the group, it offers the tropical environment that you crave for an exotic vacation and lets you enjoy nature. The best time to visit the island is usually in late spring, while rain usually stops in May. May through September is the dry season when the island gets no rain, but temperatures during the dry season can hit 83 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. If you’re looking to escape the cold northern winters, be aware that 16 to 18 inches of rain or more can fall each month. Once you know when to visit, you can find out what to do during your Lanzarote timeshare holiday.

Lanzarote Festivals

An easy way to feel like you belong on Lanzarote is with a trip during one of the top festivals. Dia De Los Reyes at the beginning of January offers a new concept of Christmas. Instead of waiting for Santa to bring them presents, kids get gifts from the Three Wise Men. This festival honors them and has men dressed as the Three Wise Men who deliver gifts as they ride across the island on camels. The dates for Carnaval change each year but are usually spread across the towns on the island during February and March each year, with events that last for up to a week. You can also check out Canarian Day in May and Fiesta de San Gines in August.

For Outdoor Enthusiasts

Outdoor explorers should plan a trip from your timeshare to the Timanfaya National Park, which offers a rugged landscape filled with colorful rock formations. You can take a trip through the park via camel or explore on your own. Not far away is a protected landscape in La Geria, which lets you wander through the spaces filled with grape vines as you sip on a glass of wine. At Papagayo Beach, you'll find a beach designed for sunbathers and swimmers. The waves are mild enough for kids and adults and you can take a break for lunch at a nearby restaurant.

Castillo de San Jose and More

Also known as the Hunger Fortress, Castillo de San Jose is a historic fortress on the island that you can explore. It once protected the island from pirates and is now a historic landmark. Los Jameos del Agua features dozens of caves and passages that you can wander through as well as a nightclub unlike any you're seen before. With your Lanzarote timeshare, you can stay close to museums too, including the Ethnographic Museum and El Grifo Wine Museum.
