Pinacate includes over 30 square miles of volcanic fields and several large craters for you to experience. Be prepared to be “awed” by Nature’s majestic creations.
You will hike a couple of short trails that describe the biological and geological aspects of the reserve, then watch a short and informative documentary. Afterwards we will make our way to the Pinacate reserve itself.
There we will visit the largest crater, Elegante a jaw dropping visual site of mother nature at her finest. A massive crater in which you can ‘tip-toe to the edge of the earth’ and witness the creator of the Sonoran desert.
We will then move on to the second-largest crater EL Colorado, where we will have a picnic lunch.
